Introduction:
With the
exception of a few plants, all plants usually grow in
areas with low salinity water and soil. This natural
distribution of plants can already tell us what
conditions are good for plant growth.
By now, we know that
most plants do not grow where we have a high
concentration of salt in soil and water.
Research has been done
on many plant species to find out how tolerant they are
to the excess salinity of soil and water. The result of
such research can help us select the right type of
plants for certain water and soil conditions.
