Molding

Introduction: Plastic objects, Aluminum parts, gold jewelry, candles, soaps, pills and chocolate. What do these products have in common? The answer is they are all made by a molding process. Molding is a process that gives a fine shape to the final product.

Material and instructions: Although molding is mostly done using advanced manufacturing machinery, the actual process is so easy that it can be done at home. Molding can be an Interesting Science Project that also involves art, craft and technology. Perform experiments to show all the steps of this process, including making the mold itself.
