Most Liquids
Contain Either Acid or Alkali
|
| |
|
| |
Introduction:
Investigating acidity or basic properties of different
liquids is both fun and educational. Using pH indicators
is safe and simple. You may perform tests on drinks,
foods, saliva, detergents and more. Although you can use
commercially available pH indicators, you may also want
to build your own pH indicator. |
 |
|
| |
Material
and instructions:
Make an acid-base
indicator and use it to test different liquids for acidity or
alkalinity. Find out what liquids are neutral. Offer
explanations and reasons of acidity and alkalinity of liquids.
Classify liquids that you test, based on their pH. |
