Introduction:
The sun
shines on water in rivers, lakes, streams, wetlands and
oceans. As a result, it makes the water warmer. This
turns the water into vapor or steam. The water vapor
leaves the lake, ocean or river and goes into the air,
where it becomes a cloud.
When
the weather is colder, clouds or water vapors will bind
together again and come back to the earth in the form of
rain, hail, freezing rain, sleet, and snow. That's what
we call precipitation. |
