Introduction: This project is a research assignment on what foods people eat, what nutrients are in these foods, and how to make the best food choices for you. Your initial study will focus on the research performed by others in this subject. Then you will use the results of those researches to make an educational display. You can also plan experiments to compare certain foods or test the effects of various foods on pet mice. With this display project, you will also get three additional food related experimental projects. In two of the projects you will compare different brands of popcorn. In the third project you will experiment the effect of different types of food on the growth of pet mice. List of projects are: Which popcorn brand pops faster?  Which popcorn brand pops the most? How does the type of food affect the growth of a pet mice?

Material and instructions: Design and prepare a guideline for a healthful diet. Make a display to show how people can reduce their chances of getting certain diseases with a healthy diet. Find and report ways that people can identify different nutrition in their food. If you need an experimental project, you can select among the three experiments described in this project guide. Material for the experiments may be found at home or purchased locally.
