Lenses- Effect
of curvature, materials on light beams
|
| |
|
| |
Introduction
Lenses have
many practical uses in science, medicine and industry.
They are used in simple magnifiers, cameras,
microscopes, telescopes, eye glasses, eyes themselves,
and many other devices. Our objective in this
project is to study the effect of curvature and
material on light beams. We want to know if two same
size lenses will act the same if they are made from two
different types of material. We also want to know how
the curvature affects the properties of a lens? |

Project
description
For this experiment you will use a few existing lenses and you
will make some yourself in order to test the effect of curvature
and material. This project can be completed in a few days after
you gather all material for your experiments. |
