| Introduction:
Static electricity
sparks can be irritating and their cause sometimes seems
mysterious. Most people have encountered painful
car-door sparks, as well as those wintertime sparks from
doorknobs and large metal objects. What causes these?
What can be done to stop them? and Which material can be
charged with static electricity?

Project
description
In this project you will design and build a mechanical or
electronic electroscope and use it to test which material can be
charged by static electricity.
Please note that static
electricity is very low in warm and high humidity environment.
You may not be able to observe and compare the static charge in
different material if you live in such areas.
