industrial and scientific applications. Inaccuracy of a
thermometer can fail a product or cause wrong results in
a scientific research. At home, thermometers are being
used in refrigerators and ovens. The safety of our food
depends on it being kept in cold temperature and being
cooked in a high temperature. To find out how cold or
how hot these devices are, we rely on thermometers.
Inaccurate results can put our safety at risk.
For our own safety it
is important to test these thermometers at least once a
year or when they fall.
